You can power up your electric car at home, at your destination or during your trip.

• At home, our CUPRA Chargers power up your electric car. We have 3 CUPRA Charger types available to suit your needs: all of which are compatible with future CUPRA electric cars. The CUPRA Charger is perfect if you just want to plug in and charge (without remote functionality) whereas the CUPRA Charger Connect and CUPRA Charger Pro both include Wi-Fi connection so you can manage the charging process remotely. The CUPRA Charger Pro even has an electricity meter: helping you to precisely monitor energy use, and an ethernet connection: in case you also prefer a hardwired internet connection. We’ll take care of installation, warranty and customer care to ensure that getting your CUPRA Charger set up at home is a straightforward and lasting, easy process.

• On the road. With more than 200,000 points throughout Europe alone, recharging away from home could not be easier. Using the Easy Charging App, you can locate and navigate to charging points around you. It even allows you to filter charging points by availability, charging speed and plug type, for a quick and straightforward charging process when you’re on the move.

Our electric cars allow you to travel hundreds of kilometres on a single charge (the new CUPRA Born has a range of up to 548km*), so when considering that the average distance driven per day by EU drivers is 60km, the CUPRA Born certainly does not need recharging on a daily basis. At an average of 60km a day you would need to recharge the CUPRA Born every 9 days. Also, if you are doing your driving within the city remember that the range increases, so you would need to recharge less frequently.

Thanks to the increased sustainability offered by BEV vehicles, and the reduced environmental impact which they have, many governments have started to promote their usage by creating various subsidies for electric car users. These subsidies often come in the form of TAX exemptions and other associated economic benefits such as free access on toll roads or free parking spaces etc.

Many cities are creating restricted zones to limit, or in some cases prohibit, combustion vehicles from entering. In such zones the use of a fully electric vehicle (like the CUPRA Born) can drive freely as they emit zero CO₂ emissions and do not contribute to air contamination within the city.

Charging times may vary, depending on factors such as the outside temperature, the current temperature of the battery, the charging equipment, the condition of the battery and the condition of the vehicle. Specific charging times are detailed in the technical specifications for each available plug-in hybrid model.

An external factor essential to the performance and capacity of a battery is temperature. For this reason, especially in winter, it is necessary to "precondition" the vehicle during the charging process, that is, to warm up the battery and the interior. Or cool them in summer. This way you will not only save energy to use during driving, but you will also gain extra efficiency right from the start, with a battery at optimal temperature. Furthermore, optimized operating strategies in your vehicle minimize the effects of temperature as much as possible. In addition to the temperature, the range also depends on user-related factors: use of air conditioning, load weight and driving style etc.
